TOWSON, MD – A building in the Towson area was evacuated Thursday morning temporarily due to a bomb threat, police said. The building had been cleared as of 11:45 a.m., officials said.

Authorities said they were called to the 6400 block of York Road around 9 a.m. after a bomb threat came in over the phone.

The building was evacuated as a precaution, officials reported, and after a search of the building, authorities said they had found no evidence of a dangerous device.
