BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Detectives say they have recovered items from dozens of package thefts in Baltimore County. Investigators found some of the items in a motel room in east Baltimore where police said two suspects were also arrested who have been linked to 39 theft cases in Baltimore County. Some items that were recovered, including a quilt, have not been reported stolen and authorities are trying to locate their rightful owners.

The stolen items were taken in crimes committed in the Cockeysville, Dundalk, Essex, Parkville, Towson and White Marsh precincts, according to officials.

The investigation began with a package theft in the 9600 block of Trepid Road in Nottingham in early December, police said.

Officer Caprio, who handled the case, also responded to a report of empty delivery boxes scattered on Miller Road in Parkville.

When she found the boxes, police said Officer Caprio contacted each victim to whom a box was addressed and used surveillance video to identify the suspect vehicle, locate one stolen item in a pawn shop and identify the suspects, who were linked to 19 cases in the area.
