Police arrest man possibly linked to multiple Towson area car break-ins

A man was arrested in Towson last week who police say could be linked to as many as 20 car thefts.

Capt. Jan Brown of the Towson Precinct said Therin Armstrong, who was arrested July 23, is being investigated in connection with “upwards of 20 crimes” involving thefts from cars.

Police spokesman Shawn Vinson said Armstrong was arrested in the 100 block of Midhurst Road around 3 a.m. when a resident heard a car alarm, then looked outside to see Armstrong standing next to the ransacked car.

Police later found Armstrong on his bike nearby and arrested him, Vinson said.
