Press Release March 8, 2018
What Do You Do if Confronted by an Active Shooter??
It Can Happen to You!
Mass shootings continue to plague our society. An active shooter can open fire in a school, church, mall, hospital, entertainment event, workplace, literally anywhere. A mass shooting can happen anywhere and if you or a member of your family just happen to be there, you are vulnerable merely from being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
But do you know what to do to protect yourself in an active shooting situation? Learn what steps you can take to save your life and the lives of your loved ones at a free public Active Shooter seminar on May 2.
At a free public seminar, on May 2, 2018, Baltimore County Police Officer George Mussini will tell you what steps to take to protect yourself in a mass shooting. The Towson Area Citizens on Patrol (TACOP) and the Police and Community Relations Council (PCRC) are once again sponsoring this popular session where Officer Mussini will outline key steps to take to protect yourself if you are confronted by an active shooter.
Mass shootings are a reality today and these incidents are unpredictable. They can happen in big cities and small rural communities. Active shooters, or mass murderers, bring an average of four weapons to unload at each mass shooting. The shooters are frequently mentally troubled yet obtained the guns legally.
All members of the public are invited to attend this important TACOP/PCRC free Active Shooter seminar on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at 7:00 PM at the Loyola University Graduate Center, 2034 Greenspring Drive, Timonium, Maryland. Both TACOP and PCRC are 501c3 organizations. TACOP was founded in 2000 to help Towson Area neighborhoods start COP programs to be the eyes and ears of the police and is solely supported by donations.
