Suspicious Behaviors to Report

  • Unknown individuals loitering or lurking near you
  • People drawing or measuring important buildings
  • Strangers asking questions about a home or building
  • Abandoned backpack, package, briefcase or suitcase
  • Cars or trucks left or abandoned in No Parking zones
  • Intruders in secure areas
  • Chemical smells or fumes that don’t seem normal
  • Someone purchasing supplies or equipment that can be used to make bombs or weapons
  • Someone purchasing uniforms without having the proper credentials
  • People/kids walking up and down a street trying car door handles
  • People who identify themselves but do not have credentials
  • Someone walking down the street carrying a TV that is not in a box
  • Someone knocking on doors and trying doorknobs
  • Someone looking into windows of a home or business
  • Knocks on doors after dark
  • Phone calls that are a scam or an obvious threat

NOTE: The police would rather you report what you think is suspicious rather than not.  Let the police figure out if it is a crime.  They can handle it better than you.
