Arrests made in the double homicide in Towson

Investigators have named the victims of a double homicide in a Towson apartment building on Lambourne Road.

TOWSON, MD — Authorities have identified the two men found dead inside a Towson apartment on Monday, 4.9.18.   Investigators continue looking into the circumstances surrounding their deaths, which are being treated as a double homicide.

Stanley B. Brunson, Jr, 29, of the 1500 block of East Northern Parkway, and Shameek Davone Joyner, 28, of the 5300 block of Leith Road, were killed, police said.

Officials said Brunson and Joyner were targeted, and both suffered upper body trauma.

A maintenance worker called 911 to report finding two men deceased inside an apartment on the fifth floor of an apartment on Lambourne Road in Towson Monday morning, police said. The call came in after 9:15 a.m., and the two men were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The building at 20 Lambourne is located off Fairmount Avenue, blocks away from the Towson Town Center and Dulaney Plaza. Police described the apartment as a secure building and said there was no danger to the public.

Court records show that Brunson had been charged in the past with a credit-card related crime and disorderly conduct. Joyner had been charged with multiple crimes, including theft and assault.
